Bristol Symphony Orchestra

Introducing the brand new Bristol Symphony Orchestra!

I recently got commissioned to shoot with the Bristol Symphony Orchestra, a brand new orchestra beginning to make its name in Bristol. The brief I was given for the shoot was for it to be fun, so we did all sorts of funny things from fencing with the conductor and current leader, to obscuring the players faces with the instruments, to a three musketeers shot and to violinists using their bows as swords and violins as shields! It was hilarious!

Not only are they a lovely, friendly bunch of people, but I've heard them rehearsing and it sounds fantastic!

Their first ever concert will be the High Sheriff, performed at Bristol's St George's on the 18th Of June 2016 - 7.30 pm. For more details on their other up-and-coming concerts, CLICK HERE or visit their website.

The City Girl (Part One)

Here is the first part to 'The City Girl' with the beautiful Tilly from Gingersnap Models.

We hadn't done a shoot since May last year, when I had a different camera and a different tecnique (click HERE for the last shoot). Now though, having changed a considerable amount, I thought it was about time we do another shoot!

There's something that I love about shooting with no agenda. Because of this, we simply walked about, finding and exploring places I'd never known existed - it made for some great shots!

Check out Tilly's Links:

Keep an eye out for the second part, coming soon!

Dress is from BS8.

Orchestra Photography Commission

I was commissioned by Mr William Goodchild to take pictures of the Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra whilst they rehearsed the afternoon before the concert. Whilst I took the shots, the orchestra played pieces by Verdi and Mendelssohn led by soloist Mihai Cocea on viola.
The concert itself that evening was wonderful with an amusing encore of Paganini's Carnavale Di Venezia played by the brilliant soloist. I would definitely recommend catching one of their evening performances if you fancy a pleasant night out.
