Here is a brand new photo shoot, completely inspired by one of my most favorite TV series, Peaky Blinders. Ever since watching the series, I had been dying to do a shoot, and just so happened to have the perfect model for it!
- The TV Series
Peaky Blinders is an epic series staring the likes of Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins/Inception), Sam Neil (Jurassic Park/The Piano), Helen McCory (Skyfall/Hugo) and Annabelle Wallis (X-men: First Class). It focuses on a 1919 Birmingham gangster family who sew razor blades into the peaks of their caps, and their fierce boss, Thomas Shelby, who means to move up in the world. If you like beautiful cinematography, epic music, superb acting, slow-mo violence, relationships, awesome plot-twists and cliffhangers - then I would recommend watching this! Simply cannot wait for series two to come out!
- The Shoot
It took a while to organize the shoot itself, comparing various schedules and weather conditions. On the day, it was actually drenching with rain (which almost prevented the shoot) but as luck would have it, the sun came out just as we did. I wasn't sure where exactly I wanted to shoot, but I had a vicinity, so I did what I always do and made it up as we went along! As amazing luck would have it, we found the most perfect, old fashioned, rustic pub. It was decked with big leather chairs, old wooden coffee tables, thick stonewalls, various antiques and vintage items - the model looked like he belonged there!
All the clothes are the model's own, apart from the cap.
