Statement

So I recently took some shots for a non-blog project with my lovely model Bala Piti, but they turned out quite nicely so I figured I should just put a couple of them up. I've also been slowly coming to terms with photoshop and so have edited the shots by messing around the colours on curves.

In Other News: I took some photos for Pretty Nostalgic magazine, which was fantastic! I have a severely overdue post about this that shall hopefully be coming soon. For reference though, my work has been featured in issue 9 of the magazine.

Glasses, necklace and shoes are mine - other clothes are model's own.

Tumblr 2

Well, since it went down so well last time, I have decided to do another Tumblr post. This showcases just a few from the many posters I create for my Rosa Fay Photography Tumblr page. As well as this, you'll also be able to find photos of mine that you won't find anywhere else - not even on the blog!

Do drop by and check it out!

Dramatic Duo

They're back! The dramatic duo of Charlie Steeds and Charlotte Roest-Ellis from THIS previous post. The shoot was rather hastily put together. As we all have very busy schedules, it was difficult to find a time space in which we were all free. We managed to set a time frame, and then, guess what? Rain. Lots and lots of rain. Buckets of it. The shoot was very almost canceled because of it, but I decided to continue and let the chips fall where they may. I had only ever done one other shoot in the rain, and that was a while back on the James Dean Inspired shoot.

So, we made our way to the church through many puddles, and began shooting. We had umbrellas, but I found it was actually more dramatic with the rain coming down. Because of this, more than a few times I would put the models in their places whilst they held their umbrellas. Then I would call 'umbrellas down!' and they would fling them out of shot and then proceed to get rained on whilst I quickly took the shots.  This did produce some wonderfully dramatic effects though - such as the first shot. The results are unlike any other shoot i've done, and i'm very pleased with that. Would I shoot in the rain again? Surprisingly, yes!
