At Court In Black & White

Here are the black and white versions of this particular shoot.

I must admit, when beginning this shoot I told my models to 'Smoulder like Robert Pattinson in Twilight'. It worked well.

At Court In Sepia

This shoot was taken today at Ashton Court. It was a lovely day being shady with occasional sunshine. For this shoot, I had the award-winning TV series 'Mad Men' in mind and its stylistic view of advertising executives living and working in New York during the late 1950s and '60s. I've only just begun watching this particular series, and I love it! Every single shot is like a painting, and the acting, not to mention the costumes, is wonderful.
Of course, whenever I try to shoot something in the style of a particular genre, it always veers off towards something else. Some aspects of the style have come through, such as my female model who I thought had a slight air of the character 'Joan' from the series.  She had never watched the series herself, but  I made her search the character, and since she is great at creating hairstyles, I had her do a take on Joan's hairstyles. This is what she came up with and I think it looks wonderful!

The Sunny Field

This was a spontaneous shoot with my little model. We were walking upon a cliff top  in Devon when we came across this (corn?) field. It seemed a shame to pass up the offer, so I instantly made my model take off her padded jacket and stand in the middle of the windy field.

Although it doesn't look like it, it was actually pretty cold and very windy so kudos to her for grinning and baring the weather for the shots!
