Mademoiselle: Sepia

Back from spending a week in Devon where I experimented with other shoots, staged in what I assume is a wheat field - More on that later.

Here is the Sepia selection from the 'Mademoiselle' series with the beautiful Rosalind Jana.

Mademoiselle: Black And White

The next shoots coming up are in the 'Mademoiselle' series. There will be black and white, sepia and coloured images.

This series is the last of the shots I took of fashion blogger and long-time friend, Rosalind Jana. Unfortunately, due to other engagements, she couldn't stay too long, but the shots I got out of that week were great!

This series showcases what I like to call my ‘magazine' style. I dressed Roz with a vintage, lace shirt and a large, winter coat. I then added some silk shorts and tights that she had brought with her.

Summer Garden

Here is the next in a line of great shoots with fashion blogger and long time friend, Roz.

This was shot in my grandparents' garden. They live on a Georgian crescent with a very large communal garden at the back which is shared by the inhabitants of each house.

The scale of the garden is particularly shown in the second shot where I made my model sit on the edge of a precarious roof. It was well worth the danger though, as the shots came out wonderfully!

It turns out that I didn't need to style Roz this time. What she was wearing that day was beautiful!

The Nature Of Spain

When in Spain... Laze on the beach all day and get a very nice tan!

Whilst in Spain, I enjoyed the most relaxing ten days I’ve had all year. The weather on the whole was hot and humid. There was, however, one rainy day, but that was in the morning. By the evening it was dry and hot enough to step outside.

Obviously the weather for coming back to good-old England welcomed us back with cloudy skies. When traveling above the clouds on the ride back, the sun was a beautiful pinky shade. But then as we descended into England, we went through miles of cloud, which only amounted to eventual rain hitting the windows of the plain. I must admit it was a shocking change from the previous sweltering and sunny skies of Spain.

Oh well. We are British! We must carry on with a Stiff upper lip.

Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming...

This was shot in the warm Mediterranean at Oliva, Valencia. My family and I were out there for a short holiday. The weather was hot and humid, which was all the better for shooting in the water.
It took me half an hour to persuade my sister into the water fully dressed, but once she was in, she thoroughly enjoyed it, (even though the hem of her dress ended up caked with wet sand).
I was initially trying to capture the innocence of a child, but I just couldn't help it turning into a splash-fest! I've got to say, it was bags of fun!
